The Client:
The Hungry Tree Hugger is a woman-owned, fully vegan, organic, and gluten-free bakery based in Denver, CO. Known for their playful approach to wellness and a fierce commitment to sustainable ingredients, they sell their delicious creations both via custom order and through farmers markets around the city.

The Collaboration:
While the branding we developed together didn’t ultimately make it to launch, our collaboration was a joyful and creative one. The goal? Capture the fun, crunchy, all-natural vibe of the bakery and its powerhouse owner in a way that would resonate both with local market-goers and online fans.

What I Did:
- Brand Identity Concepting: I worked closely with the owner to explore playful, earthy branding options… ones that honored her plant-based values while still feeling fresh, modern, and joyfully un-serious.
- Storefront Design Mockups: We explored how her physical location could carry the look and feel of the brand (from signage to menu design and beyond) focusing on approachability and charm.
- Farmers Market Booth Assets: I designed a flexible system of booth signage and display elements that could be easily swapped out and reused across seasons and locations. This included banner designs, chalkboard elements, and packaging/label mockups for individual products.
- Custom Order Support Materials: I created templates and design guidelines for handling custom orders with branded polish, helping to bridge the in-person and at-home experiences.

The Outcome:
While the final brand identity took a different path, this project was a perfect example of how branding exploration can be as meaningful as the final product. It was about helping a small business owner feel confident, clear, and excited to share her passion with her customers.

Why It Matters:
This work reflects what I love most about what I do. Getting in early with passionate entrepreneurs and building visual systems that empower them to grow. Supporting woman-owned, values-driven businesses is a core part of my mission, and I’m so proud of the ideas we created together.
